FRENCH PRESENCE IN THE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF ASUNCION PARAGUAY

The International Film Festival, Arts and Culture is an event that presents exclusive premieres for Paraguay , which are generally difficult to release in the local business circuit screens .
 
In this new edition, which began on September 10 in the city of Asuncion, several French movies in its programming.
 
The French-Swiss director Ursula Meier has its own section "Cinema of Ursula Meier " which will be screened in "Sister" (2012) , "Home" (2008) , " Strong Shoulders " (2002) , " No cops , no blacks , no whites " (2002, documentary) , " Everyone at the table " (2001, short film) , " Pinget Author " ( 2000, documentary short film) , "Sleepless Hours" (1998, documentary short film) and " Isaac 's Song " (1994, short film) .
 
One of the Feswtival films is "The Port" by Aki Kaurismäki (2011), a Finnish-French co-production. It won FIPRECI and the Ecumenical Prize at Cannes 2011.
 
"Tournee" (2010) of the actor-director Mathieu Amalric (also premiered at Cannes) is another French films will be part of the Festival program. The exhibition also includes co-production between Nicaragua, Mexico, Spain and France "La Yuma" (2009), directed by Florence Jaugey , "Now where are we going?" (2011, Lebanon/France/Egypt/Italy) by Nadine Labaki and the short film "What if we all live together ?" (2011) by Stéphane Robelin .
